I know you don’t usually hear from me on Thursdays. But this week, I’ve got something to share with you that just can’t wait. I’m always on the lookout for systems that can help me get all of my life organized in one place. I’ve been hunting around for a system like that for my blog for a while. And now, I’m happy to say that I’ve found exactly the thing I’ve been looking for: CoSchedule.
What Is CoSchedule?
CoSchedule is a marketing and content creation project management platform. Those are a load of fluffy words, but what do they actually mean?
Basically, CoSchedule is an application that allows you to manage your schedule when it comes to writing blog posts, posting to social media, and sending out emails. It’s a one-stop shop for everything bloggers need to do, from the beginning ideas of a post to the social media promotion that comes after it’s published.
Let me show you all the features that CoSchedule offers so you can see exactly what I mean!
CoSchedule Makes Blog Posts A Breeze
The home base of CoSchedule is a calendar. This is where you can set a schedule for all the posts you want to write and publish.
I usually write one post a week, so I’ve added a “Blog Post” project every Monday to represent that post.
Within the “Blog Post” Project, I have two sections. There’s the Text Editor, where I write my posts, and the Social Campaign, where I plan my social media promotion for the post.
I really love the CoSchedule Text Editor because of the built-in headline analyzer. With this tool, I can get immediate feedback on my headlines! I was already using CoSchedule’s headline analyzer before I started using the main system, and having it built-in to my text editor makes it so much easier.
The CoSchedule Social Campaign is also great! I use Tailwind to schedule my posts on Pinterest and Instagram, but I’m thinking of switching my Instagram over to CoSchedule because it’s been working so well for me with Facebook and Twitter. Twitter especially is a fast moving social media platform. Being able to schedule a few tweets a day is really awesome, especially since CoSchedule calculates the best time to post these tweets for you!
Other Awesome CoSchedule Features
For my Facebook group, I use CoSchedule’s ReQueue feature to automatically post weekly threads for me. Not having to remember to post the same thing every week saves me so much time, and I can use that time to engage with my community members instead!
With my email campaigns, CoSchedule analyzes my subject lines for me and offers feedback, which is so valuable.
The best part of all of this is CoSchedule’s task scheduling feature. For each project I have in the system, I can create a list of tasks that need to happen for that project.
For example, I have a list of tasks that must happen in the days before and after publishing a blog post. CoSchedule lets me save those tasks as a template. So whenever I schedule a blog post, those tasks are automatically added to my calendar. This keeps me on top of everything I need to do for a blog post. It also encourages me to be prepared, instead of rushing to write blog posts the day that they’re supposed to be published.
What Can CoSchedule Do For You?
Since I use it for blogging, I’ve focused on CoSchedule‘s use as a platform for bloggers. But that isn’t the only use for this application! I truly believe all sorts of people can benefit from CoSchedule’s organization and automation.
If you’re a student, you can easily use CoSchedule to keep track of homework assignments and papers. You could also use the social media side of CoSchedule to help promote events for organizations that you’re a part of!
If you’re working on any sort of side hustle, or trying to start your own business, CoSchedule can work for you. You can set up projects and tasks in CoSchedule to keep you on track with creating your products. Plus, automatic social promotions can bring way more eyes and traffic to your business.
No matter who you are, there’s a lot of value to be found in CoSchedule’s platform. There’s so many ways for you to organize and keep track of the important things in your life.
CoSchedule is an amazing application that offers a lot of great functionality for bloggers, students, and business owners – basically anyone with projects and goals. Finding this platform has been super useful to me as an ambitious young professional, and I hope it works for you as well!
